Anyway, finally watching our first match, Iran vs Spain. I had expected lots of Spanish people but this crowd is 90% Iranian and cheering like crazy. I came to cheer for Spain but I got swept in to the crowd’s emotions.

Iranians are some of the friendliest fans we have met! Smiling, drinking beer, posing for pictures with the other teams fans. I wish I had gotten a picture of the man holding a sign “The Iranian people want peace”
